Like many great love stories, ours began with a swipe right... on a dating app in July 2020, during the height of the pandemic, when we were both thoroughly overbeing alone and inside. After months of isolation, masks, and Zoom calls, we both rejoined the dating world—not necessarily looking for love, just hoping for some decent conversation. Now, it’s important to James that you know that Kathryn swiped first, and when he saw the notification, he audibly said to his living room, "No f*cking way." Naturally, this set the tone for everything to come.

A quick look at her profile led James to break the ice with an important question: "So, what's the deal with ordering pancakes for the table?" (A move that would go on to become a beloved tradition every time we brunch, by the way.)

From our first date, where we downed Jack & Coke slushies at Victory, we've been inseparable. Since then, we've spent countless hours playing gin (Kathryn’s currently winning), hitting the golf course (James is always winning), and traveling the globe together. We've cheered on the UGA Bulldogs, had grilled cheese cook-offs (spoiler: Kathryn's are superior), watched all the Disney and Lord of the Rings movies multiple times, taken all the walks by the river, and, of course, shared our most treasured moments with friends and family. We’re building the dream life we always imagined—one filled with love, passion, and plenty of adventure.

As we step into this next chapter, we can't wait to celebrate forever with all our favorite people in beautiful Italy! Here’s to love, adventure, limoncello, and always ordering pancakes for the table.
